Our goal is teach you how to strobe, highlight and contour with the best of them, without devoting the 10,000 hours required for mastery. With that in mind, we developed this new batch of dewy skin tricks. That's right—five fresh highlighting hacks to keep your face beaming all day long. What are you waiting for? Get glowing!

1. Mix Liquid Highlighter with Your Liquid Foundation

Not one for strobing? You can still achieve a natural radiance by mixing a liquid highlighter with your regular foundation or BB cream. Just mix and apply as usual with a foundation brush or makeup sponge.

2. Add Facial Oil to Your Makeup Sponge

We’ll bet you didn’t see this one coming, right? You can make a quick, natural highlighter using your go-to facial oil and a makeup sponge:

Step 1: Swipe concealer along the areas you would normally highlight—cheekbones, nose, brow bone, Cupid’s bow—but hold off on blending for just a moment.

Step 2: Next, apply a few drops of your favorite facial oil to a makeup sponge, and use the saturated sponge to blend in the concealer from step 1 above. This will give your highlighted area a subtle, dewy finish.

3. Layer a Clear Gloss Over Your Highlighter

For added sheen, try layering a bit of clear facial or lip gloss over your highlighter and blend ever so slightly Voila: Now you know how to dew-strobe.

4. Layer Highlighter Over Your Blush

After applying blush as you normally would, layer a highlighter product to your cheeks, covering the entire area including the apples. Then take a moment to gaze at the cherub staring back at you!

5. Reverse Contouring

Standard contouring may be old hat by now, but why not turn this classic makeup application technique on its head with the reverse contour? Try swiping a thin strip of highlighter along the jawline and blend out. What the heck does this do, you ask? It accentuates and highlights the contoured hollows of your cheeks, of course!
