Sometimes all it takes is a twist to make a statement on the red carpet, or at least that's what we saw at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The actresses we couldn't take our eyes off of went for waves, but not the cascading long styles that have become de rigueur. Instead they coiled, wrapped and teased strands high atop their heads for a beauty that was all about delivering drama, a bold move for up-and-comers like Teyonah Parris and Jaimie Alexander. One lady who took her own approach to lifting strands from her shoulders was Marion Cotillard. She proved once again how agile she is at changing up her look, showing off a new asymmetrical lob for an easy elegance that is her constant signature.
