We love a good messy ponytail, and Alberta Ferretti just gave us a refreshing take on the style for the spring 2018 collection that we couldn’t help but gush over. Redken Global Creative Director Guido Palau shortened and twisted the effortless look and added a high-shine gloss just before Ferretti’s muses hit the runway. “I’m softening the hair around the ears and hairline so you get a romantic, wet look, because Alberta always has a romance to it,” Palau said.
Lusting to get the look? Start with dry hair and lightly dampen the strands with water. Next, working from back to front, add in the Redken Full Frame 07 section by section to create a wet look. After applied, secure the hair into a low ponytail and pull out wispy pieces.
To create the twist, flip the hair onto itself and refold it again to shorten the ponytail, leaving the ends out. Tie the folded ponytail with an elastic and finish it off with the Redken Shine Flash 02for major sheen.
