She may have been at the premiere for her new movie called The Apparition, but Ashley Greene was every bit a real vision on the red carpet. The Twilight star looked elegant, beautifully coordinating her lipstick with her showstopping fuchsia gown. “Her lips are part of the ensemble—a prominent detail that’s an accessory for the dress,” says makeup artist Dawn DeSantis. “It’s a bold statement, and the first thing to be noticed.” DeSantis gives us her expert advice on creating the perfect matching makeup look. Step 1: Apply a smooth moisturizer all over your skin (and especially in dry areas) to hydrate and prep it for a soft makeup look that will allow the lips to be the centerpiece of your face. Try: Garnier Skin Renew Radiance Moisture Cream. Step 2: Apply a lightweight primer and powder foundation, such as Lancôme Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup, to even out your skin tone. The compact can travel with you for touchups throughout the night. Step 3: Add a sheer touch of soft pink blush to your cheeks; your goal is to breathe life into your skin without looking like you’re wearing blush. Try: Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush. Step 4: To keep the focus on your lips, keep your eyes neutral. Apply a soft wash of  sheer nude or beige from your lash lines to brows. Then blend a shimmery light champagne shadow from your lash lines up to the creases, being careful not to go above them. Try: L’Oréal Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Duos in Sand Dune. Step 5: After creating a base for your eyes, define your lash lines by filling in the gaps between the lashes. Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool adds color between lashes so that the lash line looks fuller but not actually lined. Step 6: Curl your lashes to open up your eyes. Then apply a lengthening  mascara by wiggling the wand from the root of your lashes all the way to the tips and making sure to butterfly lashes up and out. Try: Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara in Steel Black. Step 7: After moisturizing your lips with a balm, choose a shade that’s as close as possible to that of your dress. Stick with a slightly matte or cream color that’s not too shimmery or frosty. Avoid gloss, as well, since it tends to pop too much and take away from your outfit. Use a lip brush to apply the color and define the lip line, making sure to fill in every bit of your lips. For Greene’s fuschia lipstick, try Maybelline SuperStay 14HR Lipstick in Fuchsia Forever. Would you try Ashley Greene's matching makeup look?
