For the neutral and/or beige beauties, opt for a jewel-toned blue with major richness and depth. If you pride yourself on being quite the makeup experimenter, try the Lancôme Color Design in Sapphire Lace. Pro Tip: Pack shadow on with a flat brush, and blend outward using a separate (clean) fluffy blender brush.
If you’re not sold on the idea of bright blue lids, start small and try eyeliner like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Chaos.
Those with rosy or pink undertones are usually best complemented by sky blue and midnight blue shades. I can’t get enough of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Peace, which boasts a turquoise shimmer, and Evidence, a deep navy blue shimmer shadow. Wear them separately or together for a more dynamic eye!
When discussing olive and/or golden skin tones, I opt for a blue that, when blended, has a royal or purple depth to it. My red carpet and photo shoot favorite is the Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in Minuit. This waterproof, liquid shadow makes for a great primer, eyeliner (when used with an angled brush) or shadow! Pro Tip: This eye tint blends beautifully within the first 30 seconds of application, so apply it on one eye and blend it out right away before you move onto the second eye.
Blue used to be “dated,” but now it is DARING! So make sure to rock it out this season, and enjoy!
