Break ups are never easy, and this month, I had two. Blame the bold Brooke Shields-esque brows that are having a major beauty moment right now, but I recently felt compelled to stop the biweekly dates I’d been having with my eyebrow waxer. Even my daily tweezer trysts have been put on hold.
It’s been a growing experience, to say the least. But in the end, a lot of restraint and a little bit of strategically placed pencil have resulted in a set of well-defined wow-brows. “Bold brows have been iconic since the fifties,” says celebrity makeup artist Fabiola. “They open and enhance the eye, and have a dramatic effect.”
Here’s how to get your own super set.
Put down the tweezers. They should only be used to clean up obvious strays. For this trend, it’s ok to let them get a bit unruly (we’ll talk about brushing them into submission in a moment).
Give some guidance. Use a clean mascara wand or eyebrow comb to brush the hair up. Any random strands should be brushed up at the arch and away from the nose.
