If you're a novice at eyebrow makeup, or are looking for the perfect eyebrow product, this is where to go to begin upping your brow game. Designed to take the confusion out of shopping for the right brow products, the tool aims to simplify the process and make grooming your brows a breeze (ideal for someone like me who has never done it before).
How it works:
First, access Brow Play Studio by Maybelline New York. After clicking start, you'll be asked to upload a picture of yourself. Then, answer a series of questions like, “What's your brow problem?,” and “What’s your brow color and face shape?” For me, the issue was that my brows were shapeless and uneven--so I was looking for a product that would fill them in and make them even at the same time.
The system analyzes your personal responses and provides a short analysis. In my case, it said that I should aim for a softly arched brow that’s subtly defined, and a brow that’s slightly tapered from the inner edge to outer tail. To achieve this, Brow Play Studio suggested using Eyestudio Brow Define & Fill Duo in Deep Brown. Meanwhile, the program also drew in my new brows on my uploaded picture so I could see what the product would make them look like.
The tool shows you through a visual what exactly your brows should look like, and I have to say that to me (having never done this before) it seemed a bit much, BUT I was still game to try it. I used the Brow Define + Fill Duo's pencil side to define the arch from the inner edge to tail with short hair-like strokes. Then to soften the effect, I used the sponge powder filler side of the product to blend, fill in any sparse spots and give my brows a natural finish. It will take some practice to get the hang of filling in my brows, but Brow Play Studio by Maybelline New York was a great starting point that is simple and fun to use.
