Presenting… a video by the M Crowd — the wildly talented group of makeup influencers who create exclusive content just for Makeup.com. Here, Julia does a colorblock eyeshadow look that’s perfect for summer.

With colorful eye makeup looks picking up speed, we’ve been looking for any opportunity to add a pop of color to our makeup look. Lucky for us, M Crowd member Julia Salvia loves color as much as we do and created a color block eyeshadow makeup look using the Maybelline Lemonade Craze Palette. Colorblock eyeshadow is when you transition from one bright shade to another without a blending shade in between —  a technique that automatically takes your colorful eyeshadow to the next level.

Get the look, ahead:

STEP 1: Start by filling in your brows with a thin brow pencil like NYX Micro Brow Pencil. Next, conceal under the brow to create a strong, defined shape.

STEP 2: Apply an eyeshadow primer all over the lid and blend. Set the primer using Sherbert from the Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette, a neutral taupe shade.

STEP 3: Next, apply Ice Pop in your crease and blend it all over the lid. The goal is to create a blown out shape, like a smoky eye using only one shade.

STEP 4: Reach for Lemonade Craze next, a bright yellow shade, and apply it to the inner crease. Apply Main Squeeze on top of Lemonade Craze for added highlight and shimmer and Strawberry Lemonade under the brow bone for added effect.

STEP 5: To complete the look, apply a yellow liquid liner across the lid in a thin line to create a winged liner look.

STEP 6: Apply a few thin coats of L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara to your top and bottom lashes. For added drama, feel free to add a dramatic set of false lashes.

STEP 7: Prep the skin using an illuminating primer and blur stick for a flawless base. Then, apply a customizable foundation like Dermablend Flawless Creator Foundation. Next, contour and highlight the parts of your face you want to appear more defined (like your jaw, cheeks, forehead and under the eyes) and blend for a seamless finish. Add in some extra color and glow by using your favorite highlighter and blush combo.

STEP 8: To add more color to the eye, pop a bright color like Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Overdrive into your waterline.

STEP 9: Finish off the look by applying a nude lipstick and a lip liner to match!
