M Crowd Alert: Lonyea Tackles the Baby Blue Smoky Eye

Presenting… a video by the M Crowd — the wildly talented group of makeup influencers who create exclusive content just for Makeup.com. Here, Lonyea shares how to rock a wearable glittery eye with a blinding highlight to match.

In case you missed it, makeup has started to take a natural, dewy turn. Instagram brows are giving way to a bushier look, and the term no-makeup makeup is buzzier than ever. Even so, we’re still suckers for a full face glam, and so is our insanely talented M Crowd babe, Lonyea. Watch her tackle a holographic, baby blue, glitter smoky eye in the tutorial ahead (now say that three times fast):

Step 1: Start by priming the eye using a concealer — we recommend a concealer pot or formula with a thicker consistency to really get the product to stick.

Step 2: Using the NYX Professional Makeup Matte Translucent Setting Powder, set your concealer to lock in your base.

Step 3: Take a warm brown eyeshadow shade, and blend it into your crease. This will be your transition color so it should be fairly neutral. Then, take a champagne-gold shade and place it underneath the brow bone to highlight.

Step 4: Next, take a medium-toned brown shade and apply to the outer corner of the eye and blend into the crease. Deepen the look by adding a deeper brown shade into the outer corner and blending inward toward the crease.

Step 5: Apply a pastel blue shadow to the center of the lid and bring it out halfway across the lid — we recommend the palest blue shade in the NYX Love You So Mochi Electric Pastels Palette for this look!

Step 6: Next, grab the NYX Glitter Primer and apply on top of your pastel blue shade. Once applied, use the NYX Metallic Glitter in Lumi Lite and apply it to the center of the lid.

Step 7: To finish off the eye look, apply a winged liner and lashes to make your eyes really pop.

Step 8: For the face, prime with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Daily Primer. This is great for filling in your pores and getting a flawless base.

Step 9: Then apply Dermablend Flawless Creator and blend.

Step 10: Next, use Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer to highlight the high points of your face where light tends to hit your skin.

Step 11: Set your makeup using Dermablend Setting Powder, and use a deeper shade to contour your features.

Step 12: Warm up the skin using a berry-toned blush like Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Wine.

Step 13: To turn up the glow, apply L’Oréal Crushed Foil Highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones, forehead and cupid’s bow.

Step 14: Finally, apply a brown lip liner like NYX Matte Suede Lip Liner in Downtown Beauty and a matching brown gloss to finish of your look.
