Fragrance Lovers: Purchase a New Perfume and Make a Difference This March

There’s no doubt that beauty takes up a big chunk of our monthly budget, and we often wish more of those funds were giving back in some way. Well, starting this March, Giorgio Armani Fragrances will begin the brand’s ninth annual Acqua for Life Campaign to support UNICEF by helping to provide the world’s children get access to safe, clean water.

We’re not here to overwhelm you with staggering facts, but you should know that 2.1 billion people don’t have safe drinking water at home and over 800 children die each day — about one in every two minutes — due to unsafe drinking water, poor sanitation or poor hygiene. Since 2010, Armani Fragrances has supported UNICEF and raised $3.43 million. In 2018, the brand will donate a minimum of $500,000 to UNICEF USA.

Here’s how you can get involved…

Fragrance lovers should know that Giorgio Armani Fragrances will donate $5 to UNICEF USA for every Acqua for Life Acqua di Giò, Acqua di Gio Profumo or Acqua di Giola Gift Set purchased in the United States from March 1 through March 31. The brand will also donate $1 to UNICEF USA for each Acqua for Life bracelet sold in the US. The bracelets cost just $1 and comes with a sample of Acqua Di Gio — plus, shipping is free. And if you’re wondering how helpful your donation really is: $5 provides a child with four months of drinking water; $1 provides a child with a month of drinking water. If you’re not in a place to donate or make a purchase, simply encourage your friends and family to get involved by purchase a new fragrance, making a donation or simply spreading the word.
