How to Fake Well Rested Skin

How to Fake Well Rested Skin

We all know that getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night has countless benefits for our minds and bodies, however it can sometimes be impossible to get that much sleep when we have a lot going on. While sleep is so important and it's always best to try and make time for it, here are some tricks that you can do to fake looking well rested:

1. Use an eye cream

Using an eye cream after a late night is going to do wonders for your appearance! It will help hide your dark circles, decrease any puffiness you may be experiencing, and is going to brighten the under eye area, ultimately making you look more awake.

Try the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. It instantly hydrates the skin around your eyes and reduces puffiness!

2. Exfoliate your skin

Exfoliating your skin is something you should be in the habit of doing a couple times a week if you aren't already. This step can be especially important after a sleepless night. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells, which ultimately leads to a brighter complexion. This is going to make your skin look fresh and well rested.

Try the new L’Oréal Exfoliating & Pore Refining Pure Clay Cleanser. The clay-to-mousse texture feels luxurious on the skin while it works to slough off dead skin cells to reveal your brightest complexion!

3. Moisturize

Moisturized skin always looks better, so it's important to give your skin a drink before applying your makeup.

Try the Biotherm Aquasource Gel. The gel texture feels super refreshing on the skin! It is formulated with Thermal Plankton Cellular Water so not only does it intensely hydrate your skin, but the cooling sensation will help wake you up!

4. Apply concealer

Concealer will help hide any dark circles and help brighten your under eye area, which will result in you looking like you got plenty of sleep!

Try the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. It offers serious results! This concealer feels weightless on the skin while still offering full coverage, so no one will be able to tell that you were up way too late last night!

5. Apply blush

Applying a natural looking blush to the apples of your cheeks will give your skin a healthy flush that makes you look more awake.

Try the Maybelline Fit Me Blush. It comes in 19 shades, blends effortlessly, and gives your skin a radiant looking glow!

6. Apply mascara

Applying a mascara that is going to curl your lashes will help make your eyes look bigger. This will also help make them look more awake.

Try the Baby Doll Mascara from YSL. It magnifies the look of your eyes while still offering length as well as volume so your eyes will look bigger and well rested!

It can be tempting to pile on the makeup when we haven’t had enough sleep in an effort to try and mask our appearance; less is really more in this case. Caked on foundation isn’t going to sit nicely on tired skin, nor will much else for that matter. So whether you pulled an all-nighter or haven’t had a proper night’s sleep in days, stick with these 6 products and no one has to know!
