Swatch Off! Where Makeup.com’s three assistant beauty editors compare and contrast the latest and greatest palettes and collections in all the land. Here are our favorites from the new L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Collection, which consists of four shades of Glotion, two shades of Glow Amour Drops, two Glow Nude Palettes and two Shimmerista powders.
After testing out the new L’Oréal True Match Lumi collection, what impressed me most of all was the fact that all of these products are very different and combined together (or not) they will help you achieve the ideal level of shimmer and glow you’re going for. My favorite product is the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer. I love that it’s super versatile in the sense that you can wear it over or under makeup or just like you would use traditional highlighter. I’m excited to start using this product under my foundation to give my skin a natural looking glow.
If you know my makeup habits well, you’ll know I’m totally obsessed with all kinds of highlighter — from shimmery to blinding. And having tried about 99.9% of the highlighters on the beauty market, my glow standards are pretty high — so I was pleasantly surprised to find that L’Oréal’s new Lumi collection might just give my tried and true highlights a run for their money. I’m totally obsessed with Golden Hour, the golden Lumi drops that make your cheekbones and high points look totally angelic. I also really love their Shimmeristas, and I can definitely say that you’ll see me sporting Sunlight during my office hours and Moonlight from 7p.m. and beyond.
It’s safe to say I’m something of a highlight expert, especially when it comes to glitterless highlighters that give you just a hint of light and color. The new Lumi highlighters from L’Oréal are even more glowy than what I’d usually go for, but there’s something to be said for stepping out of the box and upping your highlighter game. Once I swatched the palette and the loose powder highlighters, I realized how pretty and wearable these shades were – especially on my deeper skintone. My favorite was by far the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighting Palette in Twilight Crepuscule, a creamy pink color with just a hint of gold. It’s the perfect shade for achieving a rosy glow.
