This 6-Step Makeup Routine Will Make You Look Instantly More Awake

Presenting… a video by the M Crowd — the wildly talented group of makeup influencers who create exclusive content just for Makeup.com. Here, Ashley shares the ultimate makeup look to make you look more awake.

Most days, we don’t have an hour or even 15 minutes to apply makeup for the day. Sometimes all we have is a quick five minutes — whether it’s in the back of a cab, on the train or quickly swiping it on as we run out of the door. Ashley Hall — known to the interwebs as Curlfothegirls — totally gets it and created the ultimate five-minute makeup look to help you look more awake using the fan favorite IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Full Coverage Moisturizer.

Watch her tutorial, ahead:

Step 1: Make sure your skin is hydrated. For maximum moisture, try the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. It has SPF 30 and is the perfect option to prep the skin before applying makeup.

Step 2: Apply a tinted moisturizer using a makeup sponge or your fingers. For a full coverage yet dewy finish, try the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Full Coverage Moisturizer. It also contains SPF (50+!), so your skin will stay protected throughout the day.

Step 3: Dot concealer under your eyes and blend outward using a makeup sponge. If you’re looking for a concealer that will last all day, follow Ashley’s lead and pick up the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Waterproof Concealer.

Step 4: Next, set your under-eye area using a pressed powder and fluffy brush to ensure that your concealer doesn’t move. Ashley uses IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Powder in Translucent to get that flawless finish.

Step 5: Then, use a taupe eyeliner pencil to line your waterline. This will cancel out redness and make your eyes appear bigger and more awake.

Step 6: To finish off the look, apply mascara to your lashes — wiggling from base to tip. For lashes like Ashley’s, try IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara in Super Black.
