When you think of Valentino, you probably think “high fashion.” Cue the cool shoes, chic bags and collections that are straight off the catwalk. But one of our favorite Valentino must-haves is found in the beauty aisle of your local department store and the price tag isn’t as intimidating as you might think. We’ve been longtime fans of Valentino Donna Eau de Parfum and Donna Rosa Verde Eau de Toilette, but now the brand is expanding its fragrance collection with two brand-new scents: one for women named Born to Run, and one for men, as well.
“Roma is all about an attitude towards life. When you have a culture, you have an identity,” explains Valentino’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. The fresh-smelling fragrance has notes of jasmine, vanilla bourbon and pink pepper for a scent that’s a delightful combination of floral and woody. The packaging is also incredible, as it’s adorned with mesmerizing pink studs — a.k.a the symbol of a strong personality, just like the Romans. The men’s fragrance, which launches in October is made up of notes of sage, ginger and violet.
And we can’t forget to mention that Valentino tapped Adut Akech and Anwar Hadid to be the faces of the new fragrance campaign. From how we see it, Adut's the princess and Anwar’s the bad boy, and together, they are the perfect pair to encapsulate what these fragrances offer. They’re chic non-conformists doing their own damn thing.
