Ever used makeup to contour your face? Well, you can use the same technique on your body, too! Defining your décolletage (the neck, shoulder and upper chest area) will give you an instant shot of sexy for date night or an evening out on the town.
Make sure your skin is soft and smooth. Use a face exfoliator, like Vichy Pureté Thermale Exfoliating Cream, to gently scrub your neck, shoulders and chest. Then slather the areas with body lotion.
Contour Your Collarbones
Begin by pushing your shoulders forward so your collarbones are easy to see. Select a creamy foundation that’s two or three shades darker than your natural skin tone. Use a medium-sized makeup brush (like Lancôme Foundation Brush #2) to draw a thick line of foundation above and below each collarbone. Next, turn each top line into a slanted “V” by adding a line along the base of your neck.
Using foundation or highlighter in a color one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, draw a line directly on the collarbone. This line should fall in between your two lines of darker foundation. Add another light line inside each V near your neck.
Take a highlighting brush and blend all lines thoroughly. Be aggressive with the blending! To look natural, make sure no obvious lines are left. Dust on powder or add a spritz of setting spray (NYX Cosmetics Makeup Setting Spray is great for body contouring) and you’re done. Don’t forget the low-cut top!
