If you can't get enough of Pinterest and wish you had more time to find the best beauty looks on the photo-sharing site, this column is for you. Each week we highlight a coveted makeup technique, hairstyle or nail design with a popular following, and get the tips and tricks for creating it from the person behind the original pin. For this edition we tracked down the blogger who put together this everyday eye makeup. When Wonder Forest blogger Dana Fox first posted a tutorial of her everyday eye makeup look, she never expected it to go viral on Pinterest—especially considering it was one of the first how-tos she ever shared. We tracked her down and got the inside scoop on creating the look that she says "literally anybody can do!” Step 1: Start by prepping your lids with an eye shadow base or pencil. “I usually use the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over my lids (and up to my brows) before any makeup," Fox says. "I like it much better than eye primers because it gives you a nice white canvas, which makes colors pop better.” Step 2: Blend ivory eye shadow from your lash lines to brow bones. Try: Too Faced Naked Eye Shadow Collection, using the “In the Buff” shade. Step 3: Sweep white shadow along your brow bones to highlight them. Try: Everyday Minerals Matte Eye Shadow in Rare Silk. Step 4: Blend matte brown shadow along the outer corners of your eyes and into your creases. Try: Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Buck. Tip: The key to this look is blending the color into your crease—“the ‘sweep,’ as I call it!," Fox says. "It’s what makes it so quick and gives you that dimension that makes your eyes appear larger.” Step 5: Swipe the same brown shade along your lower lash lines using an angled eyeliner brush. Tip: Though Fox used brown here, “the best part about this neutral look is that you really can do it with any color,” she says. Step 6: Line your upper lash lines and water lines with black pencil. Try: Maybelline Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil in Midnight Master. Step 7: Curl your lashes and apply mascara to both your top and bottom lashes. Try: L’Oréal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes. Step 8: Fill in your brows using an angled liner brush and cream eyeliner to define their shape. Try: Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner.
