Chandler Pritchett is a 28-year-old grad student in New York City who is more concerned with getting to class on time than experimenting with her makeup. But that doesn't mean she wants to schlep into the lecture hall. To help her spend less time in front of a mirror and more time at the head of the class (looking cute, of course), we enlisted the help of celeb makeup artist Piret Aava. Her advice? Team a bright liquid liner with sun-kissed skin and voila! Here, she tells us how to pull off blue lids (in under a minute!) without looking like an extra in a 1980s movie.

Even out skin: A true time saver, tinted moisturizer with SPF eliminates multiple steps—and bottles taking up coveted counter space. Apply a thin layer to your face and follow with a little concealer where you need it most. Add radiance: The best way to fake a tan is with a few swipes of bronzer across the cheekbones, along the hairline and down the bridge of the nose. A pink blush dusted on the apples of cheeks helps mimic a healthy flush. "The combo of bronzer and blush looks really natural on my skin, like I've just come in from the sun," says Pritchett. Emphasize eyes: Swipe a base of shimmery, nude eye shadow across the entire lid. In short strokes, draw the liner along the top lash line, slightly flicking up the ends. One to try: Lancôme's Artliner Waterproof Precision Point Eyeliner in Beach Gem is a fun—but still wearable—teal shade. "To make blue liner look modern, stay close to the lash line and keep the area between the crease and the brow bone neutral," says Aava. Next, define lashes with L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Waterproof Million Lashes Mascara. Get glossy lips: A swipe of peachy-pink gloss like Piret & Tamara's Lip Slip in Peony finishes the look. "The rest of my makeup is minimal, so the bright liner really pops. I still feel like I look polished, even though I got ready in under a minute," says Pritchett.
