Committed. My hair has come so far with me and has played such a huge role in who I've become in the past few years. I'm confident to be 100% myself because of my hair.
Has it always been your fave or has it been hard to love?
Hard to love for sure. I used to think having pin straight hair was the goal until I realized that wasn't who I really was. I hated the process of straightening my hair so when I finally embraced my natural curls I had more time to focus on me.
What’s your go-to hairstyle?
Wash n’ go!
Losing my hair.
Who is your hair crush?
What’s your maintenance routine?
Deep Conditioning Treatments once a week and a scalp mask and scalp massage once a week. Also, protein masks once a month and a Hot Oil Treatment once a month!
How does your hair impact the way you view yourself? Does it make you feel more confident or beautiful?
My hair makes me feel amazing, confident, strong and just overall proud to be who I am.
Tell me about a time you did something to your hair you regret.
When I was 10 I never took care of my hair. I would toss it in a messy bun and leave it for the whole week. One day my knots got so bad I chopped a huge piece of hair out and just thought it would grow back fast and wasn't too worried. Then, the holidays came around. Every holiday my mom straightened my hair and when Easter rolled around she went to straighten my hair and saw the big uneven spot and cut my hair up to my chin — let's just say I looked like a broccoli and cried for a month straight. Combed my hair everyday since then.
