Victoria's Secret hairstylist Frankie Foye shares how to create totally natural-looking waves. When it comes to creating beachy waves that look effortless, who better to steal inspiration from than the Victoria's Secret swim models? Hey, if we can't get their bodies, at least we can copy their hairstyles. Here's how stylist Frankie Foye creates this perfect-for-summer, sexy-yet-natural style on the Angels … Step 1: Start by applying a wave-enhancing spray through damp hair and gently twist sections of hair around your finger as you blow dry. Try: Victoria's Secret So Sexy Soft & Tousled Wave-Enhancing Spray. Tip: If your hair is fine, use a generous amount of spray. If it's curly, use less spray and pull curls straight as you blow dry to smooth them out a bit. Step 2: Once your hair is fully dry, use a medium-sized curling iron and wrap sections of hair (from roots to ends) around the barrel. The key is to constantly change the direction you wrap the hair around the barrel, and to leave some of the ends a bit straighter. It'll prevent the style from being "too uniform and stiff looking," says Foye. Tip: Always curl face-framing sections of hair away from your face. Step 3: Spritz or sprinkle a dry shampoo over your roots to add a bit of volume and a dryer, more natural-looking texture. Try: Redken Powder Refresh 01. Step 4: Apply a dab of shine serum to your ends to smooth frizz and make hair look hydrated. Try: Victoria's Secret So Sexy Smooth & Glossy Shine Serum. Tip: Use more of the serum if you have thick, coarse hair. Step 5: Gently separate the curls with your fingers and you're done. Will you copy this natural, yet model-worthy look this summer?
