It’s true: The real Fashion Week magic happens behind the curtain. Maybelline took us backstage at Jason Wu with Makeup Artist Yadim to take a peek at the fresh-faced glossy look for the spring 2018 show – and needless to say, it had us feelin’ some type of way.

Yadim’s look started with a super simple base: a combo of the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Foundation and the FaceStudio Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter. Following up with the brows, Yadim used the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil and the Eyestudio Drama in Transparent to create a nice, slicked yet full brow. For eyes, the look consisted of the Maybelline Lightliner in Starlight Gold, the Eyestudio Burgundy Bar Palette, and Expertwear Monos Eyeshadow in Fierce Fuchsia. To finish off the eye look, Yadim opted for the Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Balm in Quenched as an overtop gloss, and a dramatic black wing.

For lips, Yadim played with a few products to create a totally unique Wu-approved shade. Yadim started with the Color Sensational Cream Liner in Rich Chocolate, and added a mixture of the Powder Matte lipsticks in Concrete Jungle, Carnal Brown and Nocturnal Rose on top. The finished look complemented the classic, structural lines of Wu’s collection and gave the show a sophisticated glow we just couldn’t get enough of.
