There’s a new trend on the block that oozes cool: metallic lids. As seen this spring on the runways of Versace and Chanel, the look is both sexy and edgy – marrying strong brows, dramatic eyeshadow, and bold black eyeliner. Ready to turn heads? Pull out your leather motorcycle jacket (and your stash of eye makeup) – here’s how to get the look. metallic eyeshadow Brows:  Start by filling in brows with a soft pencil such as Giorgio Armani Eye Brow Defining Pencil to frame your face and balance the dramatic lids to come. This is an important step that’ll keep the finished look dramatic, without the alien factor. Lids: Apply a primer to your eyelids so that your shadow will adhere and have maximum impact– we love Lancôme Aquatique. Next sweep your most intense metallic shadow, such as L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hr Eye Shadow in Eternal Sunshine over the entire lid and along the lower lash line.  We love this runway-worthy statement, but if it feels too intense, tone it down by applying shadow only to the crease instead of all the way up to the brow. Lashline: No rocker look would be complete without liquid eyeliner. Use a jet black liner such as Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss, and draw it out past your natural eye for a slight cat eye appeal. Don’t forget to add a few coats of volumizing mascara for that final oomph. Face: To let your metallic lids shine, keep the rest of your look minimal with fresh skin and bare or nude lips.
