The Inspo for Your Valentine’s Day Makeup Look Just Debuted on the NYFW Runway

The secret to amping up your Valentine’s makeup look can be found in … the craft store? At least that’s what Maybelline Global Makeup Artist Erin Parsons revealed to us backstage at the New York Fashion Week Christian Siriano Fall/Winter 2020 show. Her comic-book inspired look for the runway channeled a mix of Harley Quinn and Marilyn Monroe — complete with a heart-shaped beauty mark made with the Maybelline New York Hyper Easy Brush Tip Liquid Liner

For the face, Parsons used the Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation with a touch of the Instant Age Rewind Concealer. She set the look with the Fit Me! Loose Finishing Powder and added flush to the cheeks with the Cheek Heat Gel Cream Blush in Berry Flame. The lips were a stunning hot pink combination of Super Stay Matte Ink in Creator and Romantic.

For the heart-freckle finish, ““go to a craft store and buy yourself a stencil for $1,” Parsons said backstage. “For this show, we had to buy 20 of them!” She filled in the heart stencil for each model herself with the Hyper Easy liner, and thanks to it’s waterproof finish, it didn’t budge an inch.

The teeny heart adds a little personality and cheeky fun to the look and is a perfect addition to your Valentine’s Day makeup routine.“The faux freckles, the stamps under the eyes, people can get so creative [with stamping] because it’s not difficult to do,” says Parsons. Now excuse us while we head to the nearest Michael’s.
