The royal wedding has come and gone, and even though the hype is slowing down, our fascination with Meghan Markle remains as steady as ever. Obsessed? Maybe a little. But are we as in love with Markle as she is with a certain brand of drugstore mascara? That’s one secret we just have to tell. Find out what brand of drugstore mascara is Meghan’s go-to, including her personal product picks, ahead.
We were lucky enough to speak with Markle before she and Prince Harry were introduced on a blind date in 2016. Back then, the now-Duchess raved about Maybelline Volume Express Rocket Washable Mascara, a product you probably recognize for its striking, bright blue packaging and hot-pink wand. The mascara is beloved for the way it gives your lashes massive volume and length — fast — which is perfect to complete Markle’s five-minute makeup routine. Since our interview with Markle in 2013, she’s swapped out this product with a new one, but we’re sensing a pattern and we think you will, too.
Markle’s former makeup artist Lydia Sellers recently revealed to Hello! that Markle’s current favorite mascara can be found right next to Maybelline Rocket Mascara. In an interview with the UK magazine, Sellers explains, “Meghan actually introduced me to a drugstore mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara. I keep it stocked in my kit now at all times thanks to her! This mascara really helps to amplify your lashes and polish off the entire look. It's great for full volume and lengthening, the formula is super hydrating. I love how it builds, and that the price point is accessible for all budgets.” Clearly, the duchess knows what’s up at the drugstore.
