From the looks of it, 2013 is going to be a banner year for beauty. Just when we thought we’d seen it all when it comes to makeup and skin care products, there’s a new crop of drool-worthy goodies to explore. Here are the launches we're most looking forward to in the new year. Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor proves that technology is a beautiful thing, especially when it’s responsible for creating the most vibrant lip color yet. This line of bright pinks, reds, corals and plums uses innovative, neon-coated pigments that impart intense hues that stay put up to four hours. Honey nectar keeps lips smooth and chases away any signs of flaking, caking or chalkiness. Lancôme Blush in Love in Pommettes D’Amour and Baume in Love look so pretty you'll be hard-pressed to find more romantic makeup next year. One standout in Lancôme's limited-edition spring collection is the beautiful blush Pommettes D'Amour (fuchsia pink and brighter coral) that is gorgeous on darker skin. The packaging is just as charming as what’s on the inside, and comes with a removable mirror for discreet makeup checks. Also not to be outdone are four new translucent lip shades that are packed with shea butter and deposit bright pinks, purples and corals for subtly sexy shine. Mariah Carey by OPI Liquid Sand Nail Lacquers are four uniquely textured, matte shades infused with reflective sparkle. Imagine a finish that feels like sand, but creates the attention-grabbing effect of dipping your nails into loose glitter (but without the bling overload). Favorites include The Impossible (a pink-red base with red and silver dust) and Get Your Number (a matte blue with iridescent and silver confetti). MAC Viva Glam Nikki 2 Lipstick makes being charitable look better than ever before. We’re lusting after this new soft-as-a-petal lavender-pink lipstick, and adore that every cent of the selling price goes toward helping people living with HIV/AIDS. L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur is a colorless, gel-like cream that's the next best thing to having your very own airbrusher, since it blurs away large pores, lines and unevenness. The cushiony texture creates a beautiful, velvet-soft matte finish that lets you skip additional makeup, or grants you the perfect canvas to apply your favorite foundation or concealer. Chanel CC Cream Correction Complete makes BB creams seem so 2012. That's because the next generation of super hybrid complexion perfectors is CCs—or color-correcting creams. The star of this potion parade is undoubtedly Chanel’s version. Already a huge hit in Asia, it has a mousse-like texture, brightens skin, diminishes dark spots and is nourishing enough to sleep in (though the added SPF makes it a no-brainer for daytime). YSL Manifesto Eau de Parfum is the fragrance for those looking for a sophisticated new signature scent. Sweet and sensual, this YSL perfume has a bold base combining wood, vanilla and tonka beans and blends a fresh bouquet of jasmine, punctuated by green notes. Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric in High Density Orange and Fuchsia may look nearly neon in the tube, but don't be intimidated to try these juicy blushes. Once they come into contact with your skin, both shades transform into a soft, radiant flush. The secret ingredient? Micro-fil™ 3D technology, which makes colors melt into the complexion for a seamless, long-wearing glow.
