We love fall nail art designs just as much as we love fall makeup, activities and clothes (read: a lot!). In addition to classic fall hues and French tips, this autumn, you can also go for maximalist embellishments or retro-inspired designs. Whether you're looking for DIY nail art inspiration you can recreate at home with nail dotting tools or easy nail art designs you can bring to your next salon appointment, keep scrolling to discover the fall nail art looks we're seeing everywhere this season.

Pearl-Clutchers

Combine three trends in one with this nail look: a tapered square shape, holographic polish and pearls.

Chocolate Curves

Minimalist line art designs in fall's deep chocolate browns create a chic nail design that's perfect for any occasion. Choose a polish with a rich hue, like Essie Off the Grid.

Cow Print

The rise of the cow print manicure is definitely a side effect of the Y2K resurgence. Keep it on the simpler side with a black-and-white color palette, or experiment with pastels for even more early 2000s vibes.

Neutral Navy

Yes, blue can be a neutral when it's a deep enough hue like Essie Gel Couture in Caviar Bar 400. Pair it with white and clear polishes for an abstract twist on the classic French manicure.

Half-Moon Shapes

Semi-circles are showing up everywhere in nail art. Paint half moons on the edges of the nail like the example below, or coat the entire nail in polish except for one small slice of negative space.

Chrome Tips

Long tips in a metallic finish that looks almost molten makes for a dramatic nail look. Opt for a glam chrome polish like MiniLuxe Tinsel Town.

Fiery Oranges

Take inspiration from the season's changing leaves and select a bright orange polish like Essie Risk-Takers Only for an attention-grabbing mani. Go with a simple monochrome look, or mix in neutral accents.

Crystal Embellishments

Pile on the rhinestones and gems for a look that's crusted in crystals. The more glam, the better.
