The no-makeup makeup look is taking a backseat to the new natural.
Introducing, statement brows and statement lips. Before you get your panties in a bunch and say, “Wait, how is this natural?” just give us a second to explain. In the time it takes for you to complete an everyday look, (which takes what, a dozen products?), you could be done with this one! The emphasis here is on your eyebrows and perfectly-imperfect lipstick.
Case in point.
Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to create the look at home:
Step 1. Apply a lightweight, tinted moisturizer or BB cream to skin. For a natural glow, add cream highlighter to the high points of your face (like the bridge of your nose, cheekbones and Cupid’s bow). Or, better yet, go completely nude! The point of this look is to keep your skin and eye makeup toned down, while only accentuating your lips and brows.
Step 2. Apply an orangey-poppy red lipstick to your lips, then, get this … a precise application is NOT recommended here, in fact we advise against it. After application, caress the contour around the lips to blur it.
Use a longwear lipstick for better staying power and set with translucent powder for a more pronounced matte look.
Step 3. Fill eyebrows in with either a pencil or brow gel that’s slightly darker than your natural brow color. You want a strong, yet natural-looking brow like the founder of #BrowGoals, Cara Delevingne.
Pro Tip: To achieve that beautiful, bushy brow look, spray a bit of hair spray on your finger or a spoolie and brush your brows upward to make them look more voluminous and bushy.
