This NYX Mascara and Brow Combo Is the Fall Eye Makeup Mood Everyone Needs

Lifted brows and lashes is the eye-makeup mood we’re going to go after this fall, and if that means we have to go out and search for a new brow product and mascara ASAP — so be it. Luckily, the dynamic duo already exists thanks to NYX Professional Makeup with the Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil and On The Rise Liftscara. “This combo is highly pigmented with innovative, super functional spoolies for combing through the hair and coating every follicle,” says Mark Anastasios, Director of Education and Artistry at NYX. “They allow you to create and build your perfect brow and lash look based on your mood.” Ahead, he took us how to apply each eye product for the lifted look of our dreams.

How to Apply Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil

STEP 1: Brush the brow hair up using the spoolie at the end of the pencil.

STEP 2: Line the lower and upper arch and blend

STEP 3: Add volume to sparse areas using the tip of the pencil to create hair-like strokes. “Use light pressure here when detailing the front of the brow,” says Anastasios, “and graduate to increased pressure as you apply the arch and tail to create an ombré effect.”

How to Apply On The Rise Liftscara Mascara

STEP 1: For the upper lashes, wiggle the wand horizontally back and forth at the root of the lashes. “You want to make sure you’re combing through the lashes outward, upward and inward, so that the jet black formula coats every hair and gives you a gorgeous lift and curl,” Anastasios notes. Repeat until you achieve your desired effect.

STEP 2: For the lower lashes, flip the wand vertically at a 45-degree angle and individually coat and separate each lash. “This will help to avoid any accidental transfer on the skin,” he says.

“Truly, this combo puts you in the driver’s seat of creating your definition of what makes you feel your best — just like a pro makeup artist,” adds Anastasios. It takes one to know one!
