We know, it’s not every day that you see someone walking around in neon tangerine eyeliner (unless you work in the Makeup.com office). And by no means are we saying that you should walk away from your go-to shade of black eyeliner forever.  But with warmer weather just right around the corner, and the neon trend waiting to make an appearance come spring, we thought we’d give you a head start. So, we called in the skills of makeup artist Marygene Rose to show us just how to rock this daring color. It’s bold, it’s bright and you should definitely give it a shot! We promise you won’t look weird!

Orange Eyeliner

Step 1. Take a tangerine-colored eye pencil or liquid liner (like NYX Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Delight) and draw a thick line across your upper lash line. Wing it out into a cat eye. Build on the color and thicken your cat eye until you reach the intensity and shape that you desire.

Step 2. Using a wet, angled liner brush, apply orange eye shadow to your lower lash line and lightly dust the tips of your lower lashes with color as well. We used “Slowburn” from the Urban Decay Electric Palette.

Step 3. To really make this look stand out (even more!) finish it off with a bright fuchsia lipstick in a matte finish.
