When you’ve got a meeting (either virtually or IRL), you want to look and feel your very best. Yet a full glam makeup look might not always be in the cards, especially if you’re short on time. For an elevated yet natural everyday look, we’ve been leaning on this super easy makeup tutorial that takes five minutes from start to finish. So, go grab your makeup bag then keep scrolling, because this natural makeup tutorial is a game-changer.

How to Get a Five-Minute Natural Makeup Look

Step 1: Prep Your Skin

Great makeup starts with skin prep, so this step is a no-brainer. Before reaching for your makeup, complete your skincare routine with a thin layer of moisturizer. This is key for getting a glowy base. Not sure what to use? We’ve been loving the ultra lightweight Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream.

Step 2: Apply a Base

Apply a light- to medium-coverage foundation, BB cream or skin tint like the L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation, stippling it on with a blending sponge or flat brush. If you do use a brush and want a seamlessly blended finish, go over your face with a damp beauty sponge to ensure there are no streaks or lines. Next, pat concealer under your eyes. We recommend the Urban Decay Quickie 24H Multi-Use Concealer. Choose a color one to two shades lighter than your foundation to brighten up your under-eye area and cover up any discoloration and dark circles. For a more luminous, highlighted look, apply concealer to your forehead, the bridge of your nose and chin as well — then blend.

Step 3: Add Color to Your Cheeks

To give your complexion a little color, sweep blush onto the apples of your cheeks. For a natural-looking flush, you’ll want to diffuse the blush, so we recommend an easy-to-blend formula like the Maybelline New York Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush or the EM Cosmetics So Soft Blush. Then, warm up your skin tone with a bronzer of your choice. Apply this under your cheekbones and along your temples and jawline.

Step 4: Don't Forget Your Eyebrows

Use a spoolie to brush your brows, and then either fill them in with a powder or a pencil. We love using gels and pomades to help keep our brows in place. We recommend the NYX Professional Makeup Thick It Stick It! Brow Gel — it makes creating thick, natural-looking brows a breeze.

Step 5: Add a Touch of Eyeshadow

While this step is totally optional, we love adding some neutral shades to our eyelids. Our go-to palette? The Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette. Then, apply a single coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes and be sure to wiggle your wand vertically to get every single lash. The L'Oréal Paris Telescopic Lift Washable Mascara is our go-to for fluttery, extra-long lashes.

Step 6: Finish With a Tinted Lip Balm

Finish this easy, natural look with a lip gloss or lip balm in the shade of your choice. We’re obsessed with the Tower28 JuiceBalm Tinted Lip Balm. It’s super nourishing and gives the perfect sheer yet vibrant tint.
