It’s no secret that we are big supporters of lipstick. Nothing makes us feel more feminine and confident like a great lip color. Fortunately for us, the summer season is all about lips and the overall theme seems to be “anything goes.” While fruity-licious hues of peach and watermelon may seem like the obvious lipstick go-tos, we want to encourage you to broaden those horizons. To help you as you peruse the lipstick buffet, we came up with six seriously slammin’ shades that you definitely need to try before Labor Day.
Lip #1: Tangerine. Orange you glad we suggested this fabulous shade? Look like a citrus sensation with an über-bright lip courtesy of gems like Giorgio Armani Rouge Ecstacy Lipstick in Tangerine.
Lip #2: Coral. We’re pretty sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard someone touting the praises of coral lipstick. The shade is all the rage this season, and you’ll see why when you swipe on a color like Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Shocking Coral.
Lip #3: Fuchsia. Bright pink is a no-brainer for a summer pout. In case you still need convincing, try a color like Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational in Faint for Fuchsia and see if you don’t feel a little more sassy!
Lip #4: Nude. A barely there lip might seem like a makeup travesty at first, but you’d be surprised how alluring a soft nude pout can be! Try a nude with pink undertones like Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked and embrace the natural look!
Lip #6: Purple. OK, we’re not talking lavender or plum purple with this one (although both are lovely choices, too!). We’re talking a stunning purplish pink like LORAC PRO Matte Lip Color in Magenta.
