Calling all beauty gurus from North of the Wall to Westeros, Essos, and beyond: you might want to drop whatever you’re doing and listen up. Urban Decay just revealed some news that’s going to leave all Seven Kingdoms shook — a Game of Thrones-inspired makeup collection is launching in tandem with the Season 8 premiere in April 2019.
While we have yet to determine what exactly this collection will consist of, two Instagrams dropped on Urban Decay’s account are giving us a pretty good idea. The first teaser post stars a Daenerys Targaryen look-alike sporting a winged-out blue eyeshadow look, complete with a graphic silver strip across the center of the eye — perhaps a nod to Khal Drogo and the Dothraki (may he rest in peace).
The second teaser is a clashing graphic between warm flames and icy snow — clearly a direct ode to A Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R Martin’s official title of the series). The end of the clip features another regal makeup look, complete with a smoky copper-bronze eye and matching lip. If this warm look isn’t a reference to the fight for the living against the White Walkers, we don’t know what is.
As they say in in High Valyrian: Valar Dohaeris and hang tight as we’ll be sure to serve you with any other inside info we gather about this collection and its official release date. In the meantime, excuse us while we create our own makeup-clad iron throne for this collection to sit in.
