Bronzer is a makeup must-have to add a natural looking glow to your complexion, sculpt your cheekbones and add definition to your faee. But unlike beauty staples like mascara and lipstick, it’s not as easy to pick up bronzer at your local beauty store without doing some research beforehand. To help aid in your bronzer search, we reached out to Jo Levy, Director of Artistry & Education at Rouge Bunny Rouge, for her best tips for your skin tone and skin type.The most important tip that Levy offered us was to choose a bronzer that is no more than two or three shades deeper than your usual foundation shade to achieve the most natural looking appearance. “Regardless of your skin tone, bronzers with neutral or slightly golden undertones that are not too warm (orange) tend to look best on most skin tones,” explains Levy.Ahead, discover a more comprehensive, personalized guide to make your bronzer search a whole lot easier — product picks included.For your skin tone...Fair Skin: Choose a bronzer with neutral or slightly pink undertones that is no more than two shades deeper than your usual foundation. Olive Skin: Choose a bronzer with neutral or golden undertones that is no more than two or three shades deeper than your usual foundation. For Medium and Dark Skin: Choose a bronzer with neutral undertones that is no more than three shades deeper than your usual foundation.  For your skin type…Dry Skin: Creamy, liquid -based bronzers that have a satin finish work best as these melt onto and blend well onto dry skin. Oily or Combination Skin: Levy recommends powder based foundations that have a demi-matte or satin finish. “Bronzers with a pearlized finish or that are shimmery can bounce off too much light on oily skin.
