Beauty Q&A: How Do I Highlight My Nose?

After adding a few taps of highlighter onto your cheekbones, brow bone and cupid’s bow, don’t forget about your nose. For a truly radiant look, applying a swipe of highlighter down the bridge and on the tip of your nose can be a game-changer. For tips on how to highlight the nose area, we reached out to Paul Garcia, YSL Beauty director of education and artistry. Read on for his best tips.
Choose the Right Highlighter Shade
“Choosing a highlighter share is a bit different than choosing other makeup shades,” says Garcia. “Look for one a couple of shades lighter than your skin with a golden undertone to ensure you get the look of light reflecting on your face.” He recommends the YSL Beauty Touche Éclat All-Over Brightening Pen.
How to Highlight the Nose
Take the Touche Éclat brush tip applicator and draw a solid upside-down triangle between your eyebrows. Next, extend it straight down the bridge of your nose to the tip. “Warm your fingers and lightly press in the color,” says Garcia.“This will soften the look without displacing the highlighter.”
Garcia’s biggest tip for achieving a natural finish is to avoid making the line down the bridge of your nose too wide. “This may make the nose look wider rather than more defined,” he says.
