This Makeup Artist Creates Realistic Eye Makeup Looks on Her Arm and We Can’t Look Away

Fact: It isn’t easy to master a makeup technique. One bold cut crease or serious smoky eye look can easily cost us hours of our day and take a serious toll on our makeup remover supply. While we’re staring at our face inches away from our mirror, makeup artist Gabrielle Alexis has been doing things a little differently. First discovered from our friends at INSIDER, the Insta-famous artist creates eye makeup looks on her forearm to practice certain techniques before she applies to her face. Genius, a little trippy and insanely addictive to stare at.

Once Alexis finishes tracing out the eyebrow and eye shape on her forearm, “the steps to get a smoky eye or cut crease [are] exactly the same,” Alexis tells INSIDER. Her eye creations range from closed eyes with full, realistic-looking lashes to open eyes (the trippiest, but coolest of them all) that deserve to be framed. Her artistic creations inspire her 218k followers and they also double as practice for the real thing. Check out the below video to see how she brings her forearm eye makeup looks to life.

Unsurprisingly, Alexis has mastered her eye makeup game on her actual eyelids, too. She’s she’s been avidly working to perfect the look of brows, create sick liner looks and master the glitter eye makeup in every form.
