Here's how to recreate Adriana Lima’s and Gigi Hadid's red carpet looksJune 07, 2018
Last Tuesday, Adriana Lima and Gigi Hadid attended the Red Carpet of the Ocean’s 8 World Premiere in New York. The 2 top models rocked a glam and sophisticated look, created by Maybelline New York Makeup artists Grace Lee and Erin Parsons. Here’s how you can recreate easily these gorgeous night-out looks using only drugstore products.
Lightly dusted jewel-toned eyes to emulate Adriana’s dress.
Face: Grace prepped the skin with Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation blending smoothly into the skin for the ultimate glowing complexion. Next, she dabbed Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer over blemishes and under the eyes to brighten up the darker areas and create a flawless base.
Contour and Cheeks: To achieve the fresh-off-the-beach effect, Grace bronzed the skin using the Face Studio Master Bronze Kit focusing primarily on the hollows of the cheekbones and around the temples for a contoured effect.
Eyes: To begin the eyes, Grace swept, EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black to the rims of the eyes to add extra dimension. Next, she brushed pigments from the Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kit in Venomous and Untamed along the top and bottom lids to make Adriana’s eyes pop and create the full, smoky eye effect. To complete the look, Grace added a few layers of Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara in Very Black to the lashes. To add extra definition to the brows, she combed the Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil in an upwards motion.
Lips: To balance out the dramatic eyes, Grace kept the lips simple and fresh with a few coats of Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Poet.
Inspired by the off shoulder black dress, the makeup was a bold black liner along the top lid and warm, neutral lip.
Face and Cheeks: Erin prepped the skin with FaceStudio Master Prime Primer for a smooth, even base. Next, Erin dabbed the Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer over the blemishes and under eyes to create a natural and flawless complexion. She set the look with Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. To accentuate the features, Erin lightly bronzed the cheekbones and jawline using Face Studio Master Bronze Kit while gently dabbing the Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter in Gold and Iridescent with her fingertips to the cheekbones, nose, and Cupid’s Bow for a soft glow.
Eyes: To begin the eyes, Erin lightly swept a layer of eye shadow onto the crease using The Nudes Eye Shadow Palette (top row, fifth shade from the left). Then, she applied the Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Sleek Onyx to the inner rim at the upper lash line, smudging it outward to create a subtle, baby wing. She sealed the look using Eyestudio Master Precise All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black. For added definition, Erin applied Volum’ Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black to the top and bottom lashes. Gigi’s brows were feathered and defined using Tattoostudio Brow Tint Pen Makeup in Light Brown. Erin then brushed and lifted each brow hair upwards at the front of the brows, then outwards from the arch to the end using the Brow Precise Fiber Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in Soft Brown.
Lips: Erin lined Gigi’s lips using Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner in Totally Toffee as a base, then applied Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick in Daringly Nude to create a warm tone. She completed the look with Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer Lip Gloss in Unreal for added depth.
