Fall is in full-swing now and so are this season’s beauty trends. When it comes to fall nail polish shades I think we often think of deep wine-coloured hues and warm browns, but this year’s biggest nail polish trends are a bit outside of the colours we typically gravitate towards this time of year.

It’s nice to mix things up, and that’s exactly what this season’s nail polish trends are all about. Here are some of the biggest trends for fall nail polish this year:

Burnt Orange

Burnt orange shades are perfect for adding a pop of colour and have been deemed this season’s official fall nail color! Burnt orange hues are edgier than your average orange polish and fit the season perfectly. This unique shade will match both the falling leaves and your pumpkin spice latte!

My picks: Smith and Cult Nail Varnish in Tang Bang and YSL La Laque Couture Nail Lacquer in Orange Afrique

Metallics

Metallics are huge this season and nail polish is no exception. These shiny hues will flatter all skin tones and are going to take you right into the holiday season as well! Whether you opt for gold, rose gold, or silver, metallic nails are the perfect way to add a little something extra to your look without being too bold or over the top.

My picks: Essie Nail Polish in Penny Talk and YSL La Laque Couture Nail Lacquer in Gold Fire

Cool Toned Nudes

Nudes are a great way to mix things up come fall. It’s nice to take a break from the traditional deeper hues of the season. They are a fresh take on classic nude shades and compliment all skin tones perfectly!

My picks: Essie Nail Polish Sand Tropez and OPI Nail Polish in Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around

Army Green

This shade of mossy-green is perfect for fall but hasn’t been a major nail trend before now. It suits fall perfectly and once again is going to suit all skin tones! This shade of green is a great way to make a statement without being too bold and is going to look great with all of your autumn sweaters and scarves!

My picks: OPI Infinite Shine Polish in Olive for Green and L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Polish in Grenat Irreverent

What do you think of this season’s hottest nail trends?
