Makeup Tutorial: Get Nathalie Emmanuel’s Game of Thrones Season 8 Premiere Look

Nathalie Emmanuel may play Missandei, a trusted advisor to Daenerys, in the HBO series Game of Thrones but she looked like a queen in her own right on the red carpet of the season 8 premiere in New York City last night. Emmanuel’s glam look by makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan used only products from the Urban Decay x Game of Thrones collection, leaving her looking absolutely radiant. We especially loved the pop of color on her lips — a complementary orange lipstick shade to match her bright strapless gown.

With the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premiering on Sunday, April 14, you have just enough time to binge watch the first seven seasons (if you’re committed) and master Emmanuel’s red carpet makeup look at home. With Deenihan’s seven-step tutorial, you’ll look like you stepped right off the Iron Throne yourself.

Step 1: Prep Your Eyes

To start, prep your eyelids for makeup application with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

Step 2: Eye Makeup

Using the Winterfell section of the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette, apply Weirwood Leaves on the entire lid. Then, buff Nymeria to the outer corners of your eyelids and smudge it on the bottom lash line. Finish with a thick layer of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara on your top and bottom lashes.

Step 3: Brows

Comb your eyebrows upward and fill in the sparse areas with Urban Decay Brow Blade in Dark Drapes

Step 4: Foundation Base

For a natural look, really buff out Urban Decay NAKED Skin Foundation for light to medium coverage and follow up with Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer underneath your eyes and to conceal any blemishes.

Step 5: Highlight

Give your cheeks a glowy look with Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette in Rhaegal.

Step 6: Make Your Lips Pop

Apply a bright pop of color to your lips with Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick in Crash, an orangy matte shade.

Step 7: Set the Look

Spray Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray all over your face as a final step to lock everything in place.
