Not a Drill: Whole Foods is Giving Away a Free Bag of Beauty Products This WeekendMarch 25, 2019
Already dreading next weekend’s grocery shopping haul? Well, the good news is your next trip just got a whole lot more exciting. On Saturday, March 30, a number of Whole Foods Market locations are giving away a bag of free beauty products during their first-ever Better Beauty Swap. To participate, all you need to do is bring in your own bag of old beauty product containers (like that foundation bottle you’ve been hoarding that’s nearly gone). In return, the grocer will send you home with a fully-stocked Whole Foods Market Beauty Bag. We’re not talking about sample sizes or cheap brands — some of these products value over $100 each. All of the products you’ll receive in your swag bag will be from Whole Foods’ clean beauty brands, including Thayers, Dr. Hauschka, ACURE, Yes To, Alba Botanica and Shea Moisture. They’re free of harmful ingredients like parabens, aluminum chlorohydrate, and phthalates, plus over 100 more. The Better Beauty Swap is part of the grocery store’s clean beauty initiative to encourage people to use more beauty products that are safer for both you and the environment. Here’s the catch: Whole Foods Market Better Beauty Swap is taking place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in five locations across the U.S., including New York City's Tribeca, Lakeview in Chicago, Philadelphia's Philly Center City, San Francisco's Potrero Hill and the Playa Vista location in Los Angeles. If you don’t live near one of the select locations taking part in the Better Beauty Swap don’t fret — Whole Foods Market is having a similarly sweet 25% off sale for Beauty Week on all makeup, facial care, hair care, nail polish, perfume, and brushes from Wednesday, March 27, through Tuesday, April 2. And if you’re having trouble deciding which old products to trade in during the Better Beauty Swap, we have some tips for spring cleaning your makeup stash to make room for new. Happy (food) shopping!
