A leopard print cat eye may be sultry and fierce, but a cow print cat eye is all kinds of cool, not to mention unique, playful and unequivocally on-trend. Add some bright green eyeshadow and rhinestones to the mix and you’ve got yourself a look. Aniyah, one of our fave makeup artists on the ‘gram, created her take on the trend and gave us the scoop on how she did it. Read on for a step-by-step guide to creating the ultimate cow print liner look.
  • STEP 1:

    Apply Your Base

Start by applying a primer like the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to ensure smooth shadow application and longevity. Next, apply a neon green eyeshadow on the lids, blending it up towards the brows for a diffused look.

  • STEP 2:

    Create a White Wing

Using the white pigment from the NYX Professional Makeup SFX Face And Body Paint Palette in Primary and a thin liner brush, Aniyah created the outline of her long wing. Once she got the placement of the wing where she wanted it, she filled it in with the same pigment.

  • STEP 3:

    Add Your Spots

Dip a thin liner brush into the black pigment from the SFX Palette and draw spots of various shapes and sizes along the wing.

  • STEP 4:

Define the Wing and Your Eyes

Use a black felt tip liner like the Maybelline New York Eye Studio Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner along the bottom of the wing to define it and apply a black eyeliner pencil on the waterline.

  • STEP 5:

    Smoke it Out

Aniyah added a thin layer of green eyeshadow along the bottom edge of the wing and lash line to smoke out the look.

  • STEP 6:

    Add the Final Touches

For some bling, add a couple of rhinestones. Aniyah placed hers above the center of her crease and below the center of her lower lash line.
