It’s a brand new month, which means a new round of products is making its way onto store shelves and into our makeup bags. These are the products Makeup.com’s editors can’t live without this October.

I’m always looking for a last-minute Halloween costume, and it never fails to stress me out. This year, I’m picking up this limited-edition kit from L’Oréal Paris ASAP. It includes the brand’s Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner (which I use on the regular anyway!) and a cool witch stencil that I plan to use on the corners of my eyes. I may even go a little crazy and use the stencil with a glitter liner, too.

Let’s be real — I’ve been an Urban Decay Naked Palette hoarder since the beginning of my makeup-life, and every time I find out that the brand is launching a new one, I can’t help but be the first in line to pick it up. I think Naked Honey is one of my favorites because it’s been giving me all the fall feels. I’ve been addicted to using Drip in my crease and Queen on my lid for a warm, golden glow. This better be your go to palette this fall, because hell, it’s certainly mine.
I have a love-hate relationship with clear glosses, but as of late, it’s all been love thanks to Chill by Tower 28. This sensitive-skin-conscious makeup brand recently caught my eye thanks to its stunning branding, but I stuck with it after discovering its incredible formulas. Chill is one of my favorites in the Lip Jelly line because it’s super comfortable, non-sticky and keeps my lips hydrated throughout the day. It’s the perfect compromise because it gives you that hydrated lip feeling with a glossy, nearly reflective finish.

My first thought when I applied the new Armani Lip Maestro Matte Nature Liquid Lipstick was how unique the mousse formula felt on my lips; despite it being a matte lippie, it wasn’t the least bit drying. It takes only a single coat of color to see its intense, full pigment. Even after a few hours went by (and a couple of cups of coffee were consumed) the rich shade was still there without any need to reapply (except I still did, because I’m obsessed with the creamy texture of it).
I’m sad this palette is limited edition because the sparkly shades are just too pretty to give up! The new Pillow Talk Palette of Pops features four nude-pink eyeshadow pigments that cover your eyelids in a rich, metallic and diamond-like shimmer. With a soft base shade, two accent hues and a deeper brown shade, it has everything you need to create a sparkly smoky eye. Whether you use a brush or your finger to apply it, the color payoff is amazing.

Say hello to my new favorite fall fragrance. Infused with a heavenly blend of white jasmine notes, orange flower and a luxurious star cactus accord, I can’t get enough of this perfume. It’s perfect for the gal who likes a sweet scent that isn’t too overwhelming. I like to think it strikes a beautiful balance of dainty femininity with a little bit of edge. Trust me when I say, one whiff of this new perfume will have you hooked all season long.
True life: I have an obsession with nude lipsticks. But it’s OK — I have accepted my never-ending need to find (or hoard) new formulas and shades to add to my extensive collection. Recently, I’ve been loving the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipsticks. Available in 24 different shades, each lippie gives off intense pigmentation that is so rich, it lasts all day long. If you ask me, the shade First Kiss was made for me. The warm-toned pink nude color flatters my medium skin tone and offers a lovely matte finish without the uncomfortable dryness.

I’m not a perfume girl — plain and simple. Floral scents have never really been my speed, so I’m perpetually on the hunt for cologne that doesn’t scream, “Hi, yes, I’m wearing a men’s fragrance.” Pacific Cannabis has quickly become a staple in my cologne rotation. It has a distinct scent, but it’s more refreshing and calming than it is overpowering. The hints of cannabis, lavender, bergamont, patchouli and driftwood, to name a few, give off an ocean-like aroma that I can’t get enough of. Let’s just say I don’t see this fragrance moving off my vanity any time soon.
When it comes to applying matte lipstick, I’m a perfectionist — and that’s a very, very generous understatement. I require a magnifying mirror, cotton swabs, some makeup remover and a minimum of three tries to get the perfect outer line. But YSL’s new Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Sheer Matte has been the exception. The lippie has a square bullet and narrow body, which gives me a ton of control and precision; it’s revolutionary. Like, wow. The formula doesn’t leave my lips feeling sandpaper-y like some other mattes and two swipes give a pretty pigmented stain. I’m currently in love with Corail Explicite, a rich coral shade that I grab when I want a bright lip. While this is by no means a cheap buy, it stays on all day and is 100% worth the splurge in my book.

There’s nothing I love more than fall and changing up my mani, so you can imagine my excitement when Essie dropped its Fall 2019 collection. While all the shades are stunning, something stuck out to me about about Sweater Weather. The metallic finish on an already dramatic forest green makes this a stand-out color in the collection for me. It’s so easily transferable to winter that I have no doubt I’ll be rocking this until spring.
A good lip plumper is my secret weapon when I want a subtle lip look without packing on a ton of lipstick. Urban Decay’s Lip Plumper has subtle-yet-stunning glitter finish, and the new Honey shade is perfect for fall. It’s just bright enough to add a little oomph to my makeup look, and the golden honey shade is ideal for fall. What I love most about is that it’s not overwhelmingly tingly like you see in other plumpers. It’s hydrating and gets the job done without the stickiness and sore lips. It’s hands down one of my favorite products from UD’s new Honey collection.
