It’s a brand new month, which means a new round of products is making their way onto store shelves and into our makeup bags. These are the products Makeup.com’s editors can’t live without this October.
I love, love, love the Shu cleansing oil shampoo. It’s moisturizing without being too heavy for my fine hair, and I’m a sucker for the good looking pump bottle. The Mario graphics take it to the next level and give me happy Nintendo feels while I’m in the shower.
To say this pen saved my life this summer may sound like hyperbole, but it’s pretty close. It’s a magic marker filled with zesty, soothing peppermint oil — and it truly is magical. A dab on the back of your neck feels like built-in air-conditioning; a swirl on your temple makes headaches disappear. I’ll never leave home without one in my bag.
This is a lifesaver for color treated hair! It is the third step in the process, but I've found that it works well on its own. It rebuilds your cuticle weeks to months after a hair color appointment — still wondering how I lived without it for so long.
As obsessed as I am with every IT Cosmetics product ever, this CC powder is my new fave. I use it after my IT CC cream, and it leaves my skin looking perfectly airbrushed while concealing my imperfections. Plus, it comes in a super pretty pink compact that is worth showing off on your vanity.
For my fellow skincare junkies out there, it's about time you get your hands on the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I use this serum after cleansing my face and before applying a moisturizer before bed. The essential oils in this serum smell amazing, and it works wonders to keep your skin looking glowy and healthy.
There aren't many perfumes that earn a place in my fragrance collection because I'm easily turned off by overwhelming smells. But this Giorgio Armani perfume is my new favorite fall fragrance. Its spicy, floral scent is perfect to wear to work or for your date night.
I’m always on the hunt for a new matte liquid lipstick — seriously, I’ve tried ‘em all — and most are just not up to par when it comes to long-lasting staying power...except this one. I’ve worn this for hours without having to reapply, and I love this cool gray-toned nude. Bravo, L’Oréal Paris.
If you’re looking for a setting spray that will never move — maybe for Halloween — this one’s for you. I’ve sworn by this minty-blue spray for a few years now, and I recommend it to anyone who gets shiny throughout the day or evening because it makes your makeup completely slip free. (Fun fact: This is what the Disney princesses use, so naturally it makes you a princess, too.)
This is my absolute go-to fall palette. I love the burnt orange and maroon shades, and I wear a combo of these on my eyes just about every day this time of year. I love packing on Nude and Commando on my lid and warming up my crease with Faith and Extra Bitter.
Even though I've always been loyal to the soft matte lip creams (it's the first lip product I really tried), I've recently fallen in love with the liquid suede formula. It goes on smooth and gives me super full coverage. I want one in every color!
After trying this, I realized I can never use a brow gel with a thick brush ever again. I have thick brows that like to move around throughout the day so brow gel is a must. This tiny, precise brush helps me get every hair and shape them exactly how I want.
