Leave it to Alexander Wang to include a pop of color on his runway in the most unexpected way. For his spring 2018 runway show, model Stella Lucia Deopito dip-dyed her whole head into what seemed to be a molten rose-quartz bath – created by Redken colorist Josh Woods.
“There’s an element about hair color like it’s makeup,” Woods said in a press release. “Stella can be this color today and another color tomorrow.” The collection, like most of Wang’s body of work references the 90s, but carries this notion into 2017 New York today, and the pink in Stella’s hair is no different. “For me, it shows that you can have a very personalized tone of pink that suits your complexion; it’s not just one shade of pink,” says Woods.
