Ladies, meet your new best friend the “dew-strobe”.

This new makeup trend isn’t just highlighting, and it's not simply strobing either—it’s an amalgam of the two, and it's pure magic. If you love dewiness and glowing skin, but you're not too keen on glitter, this look is for you. Better yet, think of it as glitter for adults.

Here to introduce the dew-strobe technique are pro makeup artists Alana Dawn and Diana Alba. Watch the tutorial below, and let us know if you’re planning to do the dew!

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to create the look at home:

Step 1. Start by applying a lightweight foundation or BB cream over your entire face, and using a small brush, layer on a dab of concealer underneath each eye, extending outwards towards your cheekbones.

#ProTip: Brush a thin layer of concealer to the areas you would normally apply highlighter—forehead, down the bridge of your nose, Cupid’s Bow and chin. This will allow the concealer to act as a “glue” and give the product more staying-power.

Step 2. For an added glow, apply a few drops of facial oil to your makeup sponge and blend the concealer outwards until the application is seamless. We recommend the Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil by L'Oreal Paris.

Step 3. Using a matte bronzer or your go-to contouring tool, lightly contour your cheekbones, nose and hairline. Remember, less is more to keep it natural looking!

Step 4. Apply a sheer, pigmented highlighter to the high points of your face and brush away any excess powder.

Step 5. Take your glow to the next level with gloss. Using either facial gloss or a clear lip gloss, use your fingers and tap a thin layer over your highlight, blending just slightly. Add more depending on your desired intensity—but while we're calling the shots, we say go glossy, or go home.

#ProTip: Complete the look with your favorite shade of lipstick (we went with Infallible Le Rouge in Eternal Rose by L'Oreal Paris), and slay all day with a killer dew-strobe!

The best part about this look is how versatile and flattering it is on every skin tone. Check out the dew-strobe we created on three different readers below ...
