Self Taught MUA @Chloeybeauty Shares Why Makeup Is the Perfect Outlet for Her

Tell us what your makeup bag looks like on a daily basis. 

My everyday makeup is extremely basic and takes me only about 15 minutes. I usually put on a bit of the L.A Girl HD Pro Conceal on my cheeks to make my skin tone looks more equalized and set it with a bit of powder. After that I put on some bronzer (the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil  is my absolute go-to) and of course some highlighter. For my eyes, I only do a subtle liner and some mascara and do my eyebrows with a colored brow gel.

What's your holy-grail makeup product and why?

Lately, I haven’t been able to live without the Morphe x James Charles Eyeshadow Palette. I love to create bright looks, and this palette really gives me no limits and the consistency of the shadows blend like a dream.

What's the last makeup product you totally demolished, and would you repurchase it?

The last product I finished was the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Drug Lord. Not really a lipstick I wear on a daily, but I’ve used this for so many of my lip art creations, and I still love it so I would definitely repurchase it.

Favorite song to play when you're in the makeup zone?

Definitely Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen — this song never fails to make me feel creative and inspired.

What's your advice for an aspiring makeup blogger/influencer or artist?

Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do this. In the beginning you might feel very insecure because you feel like you need more followers or likes but just remember you’re doing this for yourself, so you can share your amazing talent with the world and one day people are going to notice it and appreciate it.

And finally, what does makeup mean to you?

Makeup means a lot to me. I’ve had to deal with very extreme anxiety and one of the only outlets I had was makeup. Just being able to come home and doing something I love and have so much passion for really made me feel like I could deal with all my struggles a little better.
