If you’ve been an active viewer of our Insta stories recently, then you were probably floored by the minimalist teal French manicure at the Alice & Olivia’s Spring 2018 NYFW presentation. This doesn’t come as a total shock, since we’re still obsessing over the designer’s dark manicure from last season, but we can’t get enough of the look’s subtle pop of color.

This season’s nail “channeled the legendary Hotel Chelsea, calling to mind its artistic inhabitants with daring patterns and pops of color,” as explained in an Essie press release. The brand’s lead nail artist Rita Remark capped off the nail with the shade Garden Variety for a fresh take on the classic mani.

Here’s how to get the look at home:

You’ll Need: Essie First Base Base Coat, Garden Variety and Speed.Setter Top Coat.

Get the Manicure Look:

1. Begin with a layer of First Base Base Coat. 2. Run a striping brush across the tip of each nail dipped in Garden Variety. Repeat this step to intensify the color. 3. Finish with a coat of Speed.Setter Top Coat.
