It doesn’t matter what our regular, day-to-day makeup routine looks like, we pull out all the stops for our date-night glam. We’re talking winged eyeliner, the most head-turning lip color in our collection — the works! Whether dinner and a movie is on the agenda or a date with friends, we all have our go-to face beat for the occasion. Find out what that looks like for a few of our beauty editors. Spoiler alert: major Valentine’s Day makeup look inspiration, ahead.

My signature date-night look includes a full nude lip, smoky nude eyeshadow (with some shimmer) and subtle winged liner. For my base, I use Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation in 160 Ivoire (Warm) and conceal with the Jouer Cosmetics Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer in Créme Café. I contour my cheeks and around my forehead with a darker shade of the Maybelline New York Super Stay Multi-Use Foundation Stick and blend with a makeup sponge. I love blush, so I always give my face a nice flush of color with the Smith & Cult Flash Flush Powdered Blush before highlighting with the NYX Professional Makeup High Glass Illuminating Powder in Moon Glow. For eyes, I use the Morphe 35OS Nature Glow Shimmer Artistry Palette because it has a ton of shades to choose from, and I finish it off with a small wing using the L’Oréal Paris Matte Signature Liquid Dip Eyeliner (I rarely have the patience needed for this task, so this truly is a date-night treat). I curl my eyelashes and add a couple coats of my new favorite mascara, Maybelline New York Falsies Lash Lift Mascara. Last but not least, I line my lips with the NYX Professional Makeup Slim Lip Pencil in Ever, blotting the edges with my finger to diffuse them a bit, and follow up with Armani Lip Maestro Matte Nature Liquid Lipstick in Sandstone.

For date night, I always start with a minimal canvas, and as of late, I’ve been reaching for the new IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Oil-Free Foundation. To add some color to my face, I go for a bold shadow in the hot pink or orange range from the Hipdot Zion Eyeshadow Palette, and I forego my usual liquid liner in favor of the L’Oréal Paris Bambi Mascara for a long lash, wide-eyed effect. To complete the look, I apply the NYX Professional Makeup High Glass Finishing Powder for a touch of dew, and the Maybelline New York Cheek Heat cream-gel blush onto the apples of my cheeks. As usual, I can’t get enough of a blinding highlight, so I apply the Maybellline New York Masterchrome Jelly Highlighter in Metallic Rose on the high points of my face. For a soft, glossy lip look, I add a few swipes of the Patrick Ta Major Glow Lip Shine in She’s Expensive on top.

I feel most confident when I do a dewy, nude makeup look. That’s why for my date-night makeup, I opt for everything and anything that promises a radiant glow, starting with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Then, I like to add some warmth and color by using the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer on the contours of my face and the Maybelline New York Cheek Heat on the apples of my cheeks. To top off my dewy complexion, I use a mix of the three shades in the Lancôme Dual Finish Highlighter Palette because the light-reflecting pearls offer a captivating lit-from-within glow. As for my eyes, I use my fingers to apply the shade Founder from the Maybelline New York Nudes of New York Palette on the center of my lid. I top it off by doing a small winged eyeliner starting from the middle of my eyelid so I can keep my eyes looking awake and bright. The Huda Beauty Life Liner has been a recent fave for its dual-ended pencil and liquid liner. To finish off the eyes, I like to give my lashes some serious volume using the IT Cosmetics Lash Blow Out Mascara. And, of course, I can’t forget about the lips — I like to use a gloss, like the Milani Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper in the shade Natural Luster, to tie together my whole glowing, golden makeup look.

On date night, I like to keep things simple and then add one statement feature — be it a bright lip or sparkly eye (my preferred choice). As per usual, I keep my complexion looking dewy with the Maybelline New York Urban Dream Radiant Foundation. I love that it covers any breakouts or hyperpigmentation but still looks and feels super lightweight. A touch of the NYX Professional Makeup Born To Glow Concealer finishes out my glowy base. Next up? The Maybelline New York Cheek Heat. I’m partial to the shade Coral Ember, a peachy pink. Then, because no look is complete complete without a great highlighter, I reach for the Gucci Westman Highlighter Stick. It has a pearlescent sheen that gives a dreamy, radiant glow. I use my fingers to dab some on to my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and the top of my lips. It’s definitely a favorite. Now onto the finishing touches: eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick. To elevate my everyday vibe, I’ll do a swipe of the L’Oréal Paris Brilliant Eyes in Diamond Drop, a light pink shade. It’s super easy to apply and looks like I put in a ton of effort, when in reality, it took all of two minutes. A few coats of the YSL Beauty Volume Effet Faux Cils Luxurious Mascara for flirty, fluttery lashes and a swipe of the Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer Lipgloss in Acqua, a light pink, completes my monochromatic, soft pink date-night glam.

NYX Professional Makeup High Glass Illuminating Face Primer in Moonbeam is my secret weapon for a lit-from-within glow. It holds my foundation on like nothing else, while giving me the perfect amount of illumination. For foundation, I will never abandon my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. It has the perfect amount of coverage without feeling heavy. For blush and highlight, I kill two birds with one stone and use the Kosas Color & Light Palette in 8th Muse. The pink blush shade is gorgeous with the complementary highlighter. It’s not a date night without a fun and fresh eye look, which is why I whip out the Urban Decay Party Favor Moondust Palette for a little pop of glitter. I love sweeping Long Night over the lid, then highlighting my inner corners with Sugar High –– so cute. As the cherry on top, I finish my eyes with the Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara. It gives me dramatic lashes without having to apply falsies. Because date nights usually involve food and drink, I need a lip product that can last through the whole night. The L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Crayon in Smooth Caramel is the perfect nude that can last for hours without me having to reapply.
