Groundbreaking colors for spring are sometimes often hard to come by — pink can only take you so far — and that’s why every season around this time, we’re looking for the coolest and newest shades to add to our makeup collection (that aren’t really your run of the mill pastels). So we turned to our wildly creative team of M Crowd makeup influencers for some other spring-approved chromas, and here’s what they had to say.
Julia, on the other hand, went with a more neutral approach in her response.“Nude, nude, and more nude!” she exclaimed, and we don’t think she’s wrong. We’re loving the new Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in Loyalist to achieve this.
“I absolutely love playing up my lips, and I’m most excited to wear a classic red, peach, and glossy lip this spring!” Ashley noted. Per her suggestion, we recommend checking out NYX Professional Makeup Butter Gloss in Peach Crisp for the perfect glossy-peach combo.
If super bold brights are more your style, Lonyea is your girl. “Some of my favorite colors to wear in the spring are definitely oranges and pinks,” she says. “Spring is the only time I wear any of those shades since they’re seasonally appropriate!” The L’Oréal Color Riche Shine Lipstick in Dewy Petal is spot-on to achieve this look.
“I’m super excited to break out the bright reds and pinks for spring,” says the M Crowd’s Miranda. “My favorite look is a fresh, dewy face with a bright pink like the YSL Vinyl Cream Lip Stain in Fuchsia Live — I love a fun fuchsia paired with a pink blush and glowy highlight.”
“It seems that it’s all about violet and purple lips this season… so why not?” Heidi adds. For this double-taking lip, the Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Gloss in Jawbreaker will add the right amount of color you need, and will totally fulfill your ultra-violet dreams.
