How Do I Bedazzle My Hair?
Bedazzled everything is in this spring, from embellished hair parts to rhinestone-studded edges and bold 3D makeup looks. The Y2K-inspired trend works with every hair type and adds a touch of sparkle to your going-out look. Below, we asked George Papanikolas, a Matrix brand ambassador, how to bedazzle our hair and make it stick for a glam night out.

How to Bedazzle Your Hair

  • STEP 1:

    Find Your Gems

First, you’re going to need a pack of self-adhesive rhinestones. “Self-adhesive would work best, as getting your gemstones to stay put is the trickiest part of the gemstone experimentation,” says Papanikolas. We recommend this set of rhinestone stickers from Amazon.

  • STEP 2:

    Attach the Bling

If you’re attempting to bedazzle long hair, listen up. Papanikolas suggests using an eyelash glue on the back of each rhinestone and “sandwiching the strands between two self-adhesive gemstones.” The sandwiching effect lets your hair flow freely while keeping your rhinestones secure.

If you’re looking to add some sparkle to your edges, start by slicking them down with a strong-hold gel, then applying your gems on top. Papanikolas recommends the Matrix StyleLink Super Fixer Strong Hold Gel. If you need help placing your gems, try using a pair of tweezers or a rhinestone dotting tool.
