#WomanCrushWednesday celebrates our favorite beauty influencers.

Makeup artist and beauty vlogger Adyel Juergensen is a force to be reckoned with. At just 18 years-old, she has over 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube Channel– full of videos that reflect her love for fashion, lifestyle and, most importantly, beauty. Ahead, discover Adyel’s inspiration to become a blogger, her favorite beauty products of the moment and what beauty means to her.

How did you get started as a beauty vlogger?

I’ve actually been on YouTube since I was nine and in third grade. I started by making videos with my American Girl Dolls. I would use them as a creative outlet to express myself, and even at the young age of nine I was obsessed with video production. At the time, I wanted to be a director and I used my dolls as my muses! As I got older, my love for dolls faded and I became obsessed with fashion. In eight grade, I started my channel, "xlivelaughbeautyx" and I started making fashion and lifestyle related videos. It wasn't until the beginning of 2016 that I got SUPER into makeup, and have incorporated beauty into my channel a lot. My channel is going about five years strong now.

What moment in your career are you most proud of (thus far)?

Reaching 100,000 subscribers was huge for me. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that over 100,000 people have clicked that subscribe button and I will forever be grateful.

What's your favorite product at the moment?

I am currently obsessed with my Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette in Golden Sands. I was super intimidated by the fact that it had a shimmery blush and bronzer, but they actually look amazing on the face and all blend together to give that perfect glow. The cream highlight in this palette really helps intensify your glow, and I'm obsessed!

Aside from your wallet and phone, what do you keep in your bag at all times?

I always have to have Chapstick or gloss on me. I absolutely hate the feeling of having chapped lips.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me is a form of self expression. Beauty is that self confidence and self love, and the radiating glow you get from simply being happy and confident. Doing what you love and doing whatever you please without caring what anyone thinks is certainly beauty to me. That's why I love the beauty industry. Everyone is so supportive and uplifting of one another!
