This Curvy Rainbow Eyeliner Look Is Gravity-Defying

With prism-inspired eyeshadows and colorful eyeliners galore, the newest batch of bright and bold products hitting shelves are inspiring us to add pops of color to our everyday makeup. One look on our vision boards is this glossy curved liner by @geminiblush. To find out how to create something similar, we asked @tyrajanea to share her take on the rainbow design and tell us exactly how to do it. Read on for the full tutorial.

STEP 1:

Prep the Eye

Start by prepping your eye with a concealer or eyeshadow primer to create an even base for your technicolor shades. We love the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original. This step will also help ensure that the colors don’t melt together or slip and slide throughout the day.
STEP 2:

Build Your Rainbow

Using the Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Stick in Chaos, start at the inner third of your upper lash line and apply the pigment in a “C” shape up to the brow. If you prefer to use a liquid formula, we recommend the L’Oréal Paris Matte Signature Liquid Dip Eyeliner in Blue.

STEP 3:

Keep Adding Your C's

Using the NYX Professional Makeup SFX Face and Body Palette in Brights, continue building on the shape with three additional shades, making the last curved line the thickest. Here, Janea used the hot pink, bright orange and yellow shades from the palette.
STEP 4:

Set With a Powder

To make sure the colors stay in place, we recommend setting the look with a loose, translucent powder like the NYX Professional Makeup HD Finishing Powder. Finish with a mascara to complete the look — we love the L’Oréal Paris Air Volume Mega Mascara.
