October 29, 2019When it comes to creating a dramatic, smoky eye, there’s no one we trust more to get the job done than beauty influencer Rebekka Theenaart of the Instagram @beautybekky. From this rainy day eye look to this insane rhinestone eyebrow, no one else can compare to her impressive and imaginative macro makeup shots. That’s why, with Halloween only a few days away, we turned to her for some major spooky makeup inspiration — and she did not disappoint. Keep reading for a full tutorial of her abstract smoky eye with a Halloween twist.
STEP 1: Apply Your Base
Using the Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation, apply a smooth base to your face. You can use a beauty sponge or a foundation brush like Bekky for full coverage, and blend the foundation over your eyelids to create a nice base for the eye makeup to come.
STEP 2: Fill in Your Brows
With the NYX Professional Makeup Can’t Stop Wont Stop Longwear Brow Kit, fill in your brows and brush them up for a bold and bushy look. Then, with the NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Cannabis Brow Setter give your brows one last comb through.
STEP 3: Prime Your Eyes
With the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Concealer, apply a thin layer to your eyelid to act as an eyeshadow primer. Blend it up under your brow and carry the concealer under your eye to cover any discoloration or dark circles.
STEP 4: Pack on the Pigment
Using the Armani Beauty Eyes to Kill Eye Quattro Eyeshadow Quad In Hollywood, pack the cobalt blue shade onto your entire lid, stopping at the crease. Continue the blue shadow out in a wing shape and under your bottom lash line. With a clean blending brush, buff the edges at your crease and around the wing to soften it.
STEP 5: Add Some Shimmer
With the icy blue shade of the Armani Beauty Eyes to Kill Eye Quattro Eyeshadow Quad, add a touch of shimmer to the middle of your lid. Be sure to blend it.
STEP 6: Add a Pop of Color and Mascara
Now with the Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette, brighten the inner corner of your eye with the yellow-gold shade Honey.
STEP 7: Mascara
After you curl your eyelashes, use the YSL Beauty Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara and give your top and bottom lashes a few coats.
STEP 8: Highlight With Shadow
Using the same icy blue eyeshadow shade as before, highlight your cheekbones to continue the color story onto your entire face.
STEP 8: Apply the Gloss — We Mean Blood
With the NYX Professional Makeup Glazed and Confused Eye Gloss In Bad Blood, lightly drip gloss onto your upper and lower lashes using a small eyeshadow brush. Lastly, apply the gloss to the inner and outer corner of your eyes and let it drip onto your cheek to give the effect of blood tears.
